And I believe that great writing is fueled by endless curiosity. It’s curiosity that led me to jump into freelance full-time after more than a decade of working in the nonprofit industry. Working with healthcare professionals in my previous role helped foster a love for asking questions and translating complex topics into simple, actionable takeaways. As a freelancer, I appreciate how each client teaches me something new and challenges me to look at a topic from a different perspective.

Personally, if I were part of an awkward corporate ice breaker activity and had to share three fun facts about myself, I’d probably say:

• My husband and I have two rescue pups named Nellie and Stevie. They take up most of the photos on my phone.

• I held an internship at a fitness center in the U.K. for three months after graduating college.

• I completed an introduction to improv comedy a few years ago. It was absolutely terrifying and so. much. fun.
